Job Title: Maths Lecturer

Salary: From £25 per hour

Reed FE is seeking a dedicated and supportive Maths Lecturer to provide cover support at an outdoor educational establishment in Leeds.

As a Maths Lecturer, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality teaching and learning to Further Education students. You will create an inclusive and supportive learning environment that motivates learners to succeed while helping them develop essential mathematical knowledge and skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging and effective maths lessons.
• Assess, monitor, and track learner progress.
• Support students to achieve their individual learning goals.
• Develop lesson materials and resources in line with curriculum requirements.
• Maintain accurate records and provide timely feedback to learners.
• Create a positive, safe, and inclusive learning environment.
• Follow safeguarding procedures and contribute to student welfare.

Essential Requirements

• Degree in Mathematics or a related subject.
• Teaching qualification (PGCE, Cert Ed, DTLLS or equivalent).
• Experience teaching Maths within Further Education, Secondary Education or Adult Learning.
• Ability to deliver engaging lessons to diverse learner groups.
• Excellent communication, organisational, and classroom management skills.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service.

All candidates who register with Reed Further Education will have 2 years’ referencing taken up and will be required to have a DBS check completed. All offers are conditional upon satisfactory background checks.
