Our client has been a defining name and a trusted leader in the specification market for over 50 years. They are a UK specialist in high-performance internal glazing, metal and fire-rated partitioning systems. Their legacy is built on leading internal fit out projects, but their future is driven by their people.

They are looking for an experienced Welder to join their small but well-established Leeds team on a permanent basis. This role will help ensure the smooth running of projects to ensure they continuously exceed customer’s expectations.

Main Duties Will Include:

• Preparing Steel framed doors including Mig welding, TIG welding, metal drilling, tapping, cutting and assembling our client’s full range of Fire doors in line with test evidence and system fabrication manual.
• Working to program deadlines.
• Interpreting engineering drawings and system manuals for parts to be fabricated / welded.
• Quality checking own work.
• Keeping accurate records of all work undertaken.
• Ensuring that any work undertaken is completed in a safe manner and that equipment is left in a safe condition.
• Maintaining condition of tools and equipment.

Required Skills:

• Experience and qualifications in steel fabrication / welding.
• Ability to use automated machinery and hand tools.
• Good communication skills.
• Team player with a positive, can-do attitude, good communicator, and organisation skills.
• Willingness to learn and develop.
