You will be joining a growing multidisciplinary environmental consultancy delivering projects across the UK. The organisation works across a broad range of environmental disciplines and provides its teams with opportunities to collaborate on varied projects ranging from smaller private developments through to major infrastructure schemes.
With continued growth across its arboricultural services, the consultancy is looking to appoint an Arboricultural Consultant to strengthen its existing team. The business offers a supportive and collaborative working environment alongside flexible hybrid working arrangements.
Your new role
As an Arboricultural Consultant, you will work across a diverse portfolio of projects, undertaking tree surveys, assessments and arboricultural reporting while supporting the successful delivery of projects for a range of clients.Your responsibilities will include:

• Undertaking tree surveys and assessments across a variety of development and infrastructure projects
• Completing Visual Tree Assessments (VTA)
• Undertaking development-related tree surveys in accordance with BS5837:2012
• Preparing Arboricultural Impact Assessments and Arboricultural Method Statements
• Producing clear, accurate and technically robust reports
• Providing arboricultural advice to clients and project stakeholders
• Working collaboratively with environmental specialists across multidisciplinary projects
• Supporting the delivery of projects from initial survey through to reporting and recommendations
• Travelling to project sites across the UK, with occasional overnight stays where required

What you'll need to succeed
To be considered for this position, you will ideally have previous arboricultural consultancy or commercial experience alongside strong practical tree survey capabilities.
You will also have:

• A Level 3 qualification in Arboriculture, or be currently working towards one
• Previous professional tree survey experience
• Experience undertaking Visual Tree Assessments
• Knowledge and practical experience of BS5837:2012 development surveys
• Experience producing Arboricultural Impact Assessments and Method Statements
• Strong technical report-writing skills
• Confidence communicating with clients and other project stakeholders
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and experience using GIS/CAD and tree survey software
• A collaborative approach and the ability to manage priorities within a busy consultancy environment
• A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle for business use
