Liquid Recruitment is recruiting a Senior Health, Safety & Fire Consultant for a specialist property risk and compliance consultancy.

This is a home-based role with flexible working around client commitments. You’ll need to live within practical travelling distance of the M62 corridor, with access to client sites across the region. Applications are welcome from suitable locations across the North, rather than being restricted to Leeds or York.

The role You’ll manage a varied portfolio of health, safety and fire consultancy assignments, combining site visits, technical assessments, reporting and ongoing client advice.

Your work will include:

• Delivering health, safety and fire risk assessments, inspections and audits.
• Developing, reviewing and implementing complex health and safety management systems.
• Advising clients on practical improvements across commercial and residential properties, including higher-risk buildings.
• Producing clear reports that explain the risks, priorities and actions required.
• Building lasting client relationships and advising stakeholders at all levels.
• Managing assignments to agreed quality standards, budgets and timescales.
• Supporting junior colleagues and contributing to the team’s technical development.
• Keeping your knowledge current as legislation, standards and industry practice develop.

What you’ll bring You’ll be an experienced health, safety and fire professional who can work independently, communicate clearly and give clients practical, well-supported advice.

You’ll need:

• A Level 6 health and safety qualification, such as the NEBOSH Diploma, NCRQ or equivalent.
• CMIOSH status, or CertIOSH with active progression towards Chartered membership.
• The NEBOSH Fire Certificate or an equivalent fire qualification.
• Significant experience across health, safety and fire, including practical application of safety management systems.
• Experience interpreting and implementing complex management systems in medium- or high-risk environments, or across larger organisations.
• Operational site experience, strong analytical skills and confident report writing.
• A sound understanding of UK health, safety and fire requirements.
• A driving licence and the ability to travel to client sites across the region.

Residential property experience and NAFRAR registration are desirable.

Further fire qualification supported: if you do not already hold the required Level 3 Fire qualification, the business will enrol you after successful completion of probation. You must still hold NEBOSH Fire or an equivalent fire qualification when joining.
