This is an outstanding opportunity for a Level 3 qualified Electrical Technician to join a major, internationally recognised rail business and work directly on a fleet of trains in Leeds.

You’ll join a highly skilled engineering team carrying out essential electrical modifications across a working fleet of trains, contributing to safety-critical engineering projects that directly support the UK rail network.

What You’ll Be Doing

As an Electrical Technician, your responsibilities will include:

• Carrying out electrical modifications, installations and fault finding
• Completing extensive electrical wiring activities, including running, routing, terminating and splicing new wiring harnesses
• Integrating new wiring into existing train-borne electrical systems and equipment
• Undertaking mechanical installation work including drilling, bracket fitting and equipment mounting

What We’re Looking For

You do not necessarily need previous rail experience. If you have the right electrical engineering background and transferable skills, this could be your route into the industry.

Ideally, you will have:

• A Level 3 Electrical / Electrical Engineering qualification
• Strong hands-on electrical fitting and wiring experience
• Experience with electrical modifications and fault finding
• Confidence using hand and power tools
• The ability to work accurately within a structured engineering environment
• Experience within rail, automotive, aerospace, manufacturing, defence or another engineering environment would be advantageous
