Employment Solicitor – NQ to 2 PQE Leeds | £55,000 – £60,000 A Legal 500 Yorkshire employment team in Leeds is looking to add an NQ to 2 PQE Employment Solicitor to the team.

This is a genuine growth and succession hire. The team has a strong flow of employment work coming in and is looking to bring someone in at junior level who can develop with the department over the long term.

The team acts predominantly for employers and respondent clients, advising on a broad range of employment matters including:

• Employment Tribunal claims and litigation
• Settlement agreements
• Restructures and reorganisations
• Day-to-day employment advice
• Corporate support work
• Employment issues for well-known national and household-name businesses

There is a particularly strong volume of settlement agreement work, alongside more contentious matters and Tribunal claims. The team also works closely with the firm's corporate and education teams, giving you exposure to a varied client base and the opportunity to become involved in wider commercial work.

The team You'll be joining a friendly, established Leeds-based employment team with a genuinely collaborative dynamic.

The team is made up of experienced partners alongside solicitors and junior lawyers, with a clear focus on developing the next generation of employment lawyers. There is a strong pipeline of work and a real opportunity for someone joining at this level to establish themselves within the department.

Business development There are also opportunities to get involved beyond fee-earning work.

The team regularly delivers employment seminars and webinars and is involved with networking forums across North and West Yorkshire. If you're interested in BD, networking, presenting or building client relationships, you'll have the opportunity to develop those skills as your career progresses.

What they're looking for They're looking for an NQ to 2 PQE Employment Solicitor who has experience of working with employer/respondent clients.

Ideally, you'll have:

• Experience in employment law gained within a commercial or respondent-focused practice
• Some exposure to Employment Tribunal work
• Experience of settlement agreements and/or advisory work
• A genuine interest in developing your career within employment
• Good communication skills and the confidence to build relationships with colleagues and clients
• A willingness to be involved in the wider team and, where interested, BD and networking activities
