Location: Leeds

Salary: £28,000 ( OTE £45,000) + Company Vehicle 

Overview:

First Military Recruitment is seeking an Aftermarket Sales Executive on behalf of one of our clients.

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing the company’s Customer Owned Truck and Short-Term Rental customer base, whilst identifying and developing aftermarket sales opportunities with both new and existing customers.

The role will cover the North East and Yorkshire region and will involve building strong customer relationships, identifying new business opportunities, selling used equipment and developing sales across a range of aftermarket products and services.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Increase the Customer Owned Truck base by identifying opportunities and selling profitable Service Agreements
• Identify and sell Used Equipment Trucks in line with company expectations
• Proactively seek new Short-Term Rental business
• Develop aftermarket sales opportunities with new and existing customers
• Sell aftermarket products including attachments, tyres, cabs and operator training
• Support the wider trading team, including New Equipment Sales, Short-Term Rental, Service and Spare Parts
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers and approved suppliers
• Work with the Depot Manager to develop a local sales strategy
• Carry out regular customer account reviews alongside the Depot Manager and Territory Account Manager where required
• Support site surveys for rental, national accounts and dealer-managed accounts
• Prepare and submit service estimates above agreed values for review
• Carry out customer visits, demonstrations, deliveries and equipment handovers
• Support the installation and handover of equipment to new customers
• Provide driver awareness and demonstrations where required
• Identify additional sales opportunities within existing customer accounts
• Ensure requirements for Thorough Examination are communicated and completed where required
• Maintain accurate records and follow the company’s activity reporting processes
• Work towards agreed sales targets and forecasts

Skills and Qualifications:

• Previous experience within the materials handling, forklift, engineering or related industry
• Previous sales, account management or customer-facing experience
• Strong knowledge of the materials handling industry or a related sector
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Professional, well-presented and conscientious approach
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently
• Strong customer-focused approach
• Commercially aware with the ability to identify and develop new business opportunities
• Good organisational and workload management skills
• Confident presenting to and communicating with customers at all levels
• PC literate and comfortable using standard computer systems
• Ability to develop and implement a local sales strategy
• Ability to work towards targets and forecasts
• Full UK driving licence
