Senior Project Manager / Associate - Building Consultancy - #2155003

Recruit Build is working with a dynamic and growing construction and property consultancy in Leeds who are looking to appoint a Senior Project Manager / Associate to play a key role in leading and developing their Project Management team.

This is much more than simply another Senior PM role.

The successful person will become a key member of the senior leadership team, combining responsibility for the wider PM team with their own client-facing project delivery.

The Business

This is a fast-paced, entrepreneurial consultancy led by two highly experienced directors. They operate with a close-knit team but punch well above their weight, delivering projects and programmes for some of the UK’s best-known organisations.

Their work spans retail, commercial, industrial & logistics, healthcare, residential, leisure and community projects, ranging from refurbishment schemes through to major multi-million-pound developments and national programmes.

The Role

• As Senior Project Manager / Associate, you will:
• Lead and support the Project Management team.
• Maintain high standards of project delivery and quality.
• Mentor and develop other Project Managers.
• Manage your own portfolio of client projects from inception through to completion.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients.
• Lead consultant, contractor and stakeholder teams.
• Oversee programme, risk, procurement and project delivery.
• Work closely with the Directors as the business continues to grow.
• Play an active role within the wider senior leadership team.

The Person

We are looking for an experienced construction Project Manager who has built their career within either a construction/property consultancy or a building contractor.

You will ideally have:

• Significant experience delivering construction projects.
• A strong understanding of the full project lifecycle.
• Formal Project Management training and relevant professional qualifications.
• Strong client-facing and stakeholder-management skills.
• Experience managing, mentoring or developing other Project Managers.
• Good commercial awareness and knowledge of contracts, procurement, programme and risk.
• The confidence and credibility to operate at Associate and senior leadership level.
