As an Employment Solicitor, you’ll join a growing and highly collaborative team, working with a diverse range of clients and handling a broad variety of employment matters. The role
You’ll have the opportunity to work across both contentious and non-contentious employment matters, with responsibility for your own caseload and regular client contact.
Your responsibilities will include:
• Taking initial instructions and responding to client enquiries.
• Advising on, drafting and negotiating settlement agreements.
• Managing employment tribunal litigation on behalf of both employers and employees, including advocacy where appropriate.
• Drafting contracts of employment, directors’ service agreements and staff handbooks.
• Advising on day-to-day employment matters, including disciplinary, grievance and redundancy processes.
• Supporting corporate transactions, including preparing employment documentation and advising on TUPE.
• Building trusted relationships with clients by understanding their businesses, priorities and challenges.
• Contributing to seminars, networking opportunities and business development initiatives.
• Working collaboratively with colleagues across the wider team and firm.
What we’re looking for
We’re looking for an Employment Solicitor with at least one year’s experience who is keen to develop their career in a busy, supportive and forward-thinking team.
• Confidence dealing directly with clients and providing clear, practical and commercially focused advice.
• Experience managing a busy caseload and prioritising work effectively.
• A genuine interest in developing strong, long-term client relationships.
• The ability to work collaboratively while also taking ownership and using your own initiative.
• Excellent organisation skills, attention to detail and responsiveness.
• The ability to remain calm and focused when working to tight deadlines.
• A willingness to learn, share ideas and continue developing your employment law expertise.
• An interest in contributing to business development and the wider success of the team.
