This is an excellent opportunity for a Procurement Solicitor in Leeds to join a highly regarded national law firm and work on a broad range of procurement, commercial and regulatory matters. You will advise contracting authorities, bidders and major healthcare clients while developing your expertise alongside an experienced team.

Our client is a national commercial law firm with an established international presence and more than 1,000 colleagues across its growing office network. The firm works with a diverse client base across major sectors and they have a growing procurement team in Leeds.

Description

The Procurement Solicitor will be:

• Advising contracting authorities and bidders on procurement and contractual matters under the Public Contracts Regulations 2015, Procurement Act 2023 and Provider Selection Regime.
• Drafting and advising on procurement documentation and related contractual arrangements.
• Advising clients on potential challenges to procurement processes and working with the commercial dispute resolution team where matters become contentious.
• Drafting and negotiating contractual terms including framework agreements, call off arrangements, bespoke contracts, licensing arrangements and data protection documentation.
• Advising on innovative contracting models including joint ventures, alliance agreements and collaboration arrangements.
• Supporting the wider team with commercial and regulatory matters for NHS and independent sector clients.
• Building trusted relationships with clients and intermediaries and becoming a valued point of contact.

Profile

The Procurement Solicitor should be:

• A solicitor with 0 to 5 years PQE.
• Experienced in procurement law, ideally with exposure to the Public Contracts Regulations 2015 and Procurement Act 2023.
• Familiar with the Provider Selection Regime and its application within the healthcare sector.
• Experienced in drafting and advising on commercial contracts and procurement documentation.
• Confident communicating with clients, colleagues and external stakeholders.
• Able to manage a varied caseload while maintaining a high standard of client service.
• Interested in developing a career within a large national law firm.
• Candidates from a public sector legal background will also be considered.

Job Offer

• Salary ranging from £54,000 to £68,000.
