Elevation Recruitment Group's Skilled Shop Floor Division is currently recruiting for an Quality Control Inspector on behalf of an innovative and growing medical device manufacturer based in Leeds.
This is an excellent opportunity for a Quality Inspector / Quality Technician to join a highly regulated manufacturing environment, supporting the production and inspection of life-changing medical devices.
Working across both office and cleanroom environments, you will play a key role within the Quality department, carrying out inspections, functional testing, documentation reviews and final product release activities to ensure products meet the required quality and regulatory standards.
The RoleAs an Inspector, Quality Control, your responsibilities will include:
- Carrying out routine functional testing, measurements, verification, visual and final inspections of products.
- Supporting final product release and receiving inspection activities.
- Conducting microbiological monitoring when required.
- Carrying out preventative maintenance and calibration of inspection equipment.
- Auditing manufacturing paperwork and documentation, including Device History Records (DHRs) and production logs.
- Supporting Engineering teams by gathering data relating to product functionality.
- Inspecting final packaging and labels to ensure they meet relevant standards and work instructions.
- Reviewing and approving documentation relating to externally supplied products and services.
- Supporting First Article Inspection (FAI) activities to ensure components and finished products meet manufacturing specifications and engineering drawings.
- Ensuring all activities comply with the company's Quality System and record retention requirements.
- Adhering to all Health & Safety, cleanroom and contamination control procedures.
- Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives across manufacturing and inspection processes.
The successful candidate will ideally have:
- Experience within a Quality environment, ideally within medical devices, pharmaceuticals or another highly regulated manufacturing sector.
- Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach to documentation and inspection.
- The ability to work effectively within a highly controlled and regulated environment.
- A willingness to work within a cleanroom environment and follow strict gowning, safety and contamination-control procedures.
The role will initially operate on a day shift.
From January, the position will move onto a shift. You will receive shift allowance if working afternoons. (06:15 – 14:15
14:00 – 22:00)
