Associate Partner – Building Surveying

£70,000–£80,000 + Bonus + Car Allowance

An independent commercial Building Consultancy is seeking an Associate Partner to join its established Leeds Building Surveying team.

Working with a high-quality client base of institutional investors, property funds and major occupiers, this is an opportunity for an experienced Building Surveyor to take on a senior role combining technical delivery, client management and business development.

The position offers significant autonomy and is particularly suited to someone looking to progress beyond a traditional fee-earning role, with genuine involvement in client growth, team development and the wider commercial direction of the business.

The Role

Working across a varied commercial property portfolio, you will be responsible for:

• Leading complex professional and project-led Building Surveying instructions

• Managing key client relationships and accounts

• Generating new work from existing and new clients

• Preparing and negotiating fee proposals

• Supporting the management and development of junior team members

• Contributing to the continued growth of the Leeds Building Surveying team

The Successful Associate Partner

• MRICS qualified (Building Surveying pathway)

• Strong all-round commercial Building Surveying experience

• Proven client management experience

• Experience generating work and developing client relationships

• Strong commercial awareness

• Comfortable leading complex instructions and supporting junior colleagues

In Return

• £70,000–£80,000 basic salary

• 10% bonus on billings above a 2.5x salary target

• 8% of fees generated through new client relationships, reducing to 5% thereafter

• Company car / car allowance

• Flexible working – typically 1–2 days per week in the office
