BI Developer - #2160557

Reporting to the Business Intelligence Manager, the Business Intelligence Developer is responsible for designing, developing and maintaining BI solutions that enable data-driven decision making across the organisation.

Location: Leeds - Hybrid

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain and enhance dashboards, reports and self-service analytics solutions using Qlik Sense and/or Power BI.
• Gather and translate business requirements into effective BI and reporting solutions.
• Design and optimise SQL queries, data models and reporting datasets to support analytical needs.
• Improve reporting processes, data quality and operational efficiency through automation and enhanced analytics.
• Monitor, troubleshoot and resolve issues affecting BI solutions and underlying data.
• Ensure reporting outputs are accurate, reliable and aligned with business objectives.
• Promote data-driven decision making by providing insights, training and support to end users.
• Collaborate with data scientists, database administrators and development teams to ensure data integrity and performance.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to iterative delivery and continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Degree in Data Analytics, Business Intelligence, Computer Science or a related field.
• Proven experience developing BI solutions, ideally with Qlik Sense (Power BI also considered).
• Strong stakeholder management and requirements-gathering skills.
• Solid SQL development skills with experience in data warehousing and ETL processes.
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
• Experience working within Agile environments.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and organisational skills.
• Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
• Customer-focused, proactive and able to drive continuous improvement and innovation.
