About the role
You’ll take ownership of a portfolio of accounts, managing the end-to-end credit control process and building strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
This is a varied role where you’ll be responsible for chasing outstanding invoices, resolving queries, allocating payments and reviewing aged debt, while working closely with internal teams to ensure accounts are managed effectively.
You’ll join an experienced and approachable team, reporting to a supportive Credit Manager who encourages ownership, development and progression.
Key responsibilities
- Managing a portfolio of customer accounts and the full credit control process
- Chasing outstanding invoices by telephone and email
- Building strong relationships with customers and internal stakeholders
- Resolving invoice and payment queries
- Posting and allocating customer payments
- Producing invoices and customer statements
- Reviewing aged debt and providing commentary where required
- Completing bank reconciliations and supporting cash allocation
- Working closely with internal teams to resolve account queries
- Supporting the wider finance team during busy periods, including month end
About you
We’re looking for someone with solid Credit Control experience who is comfortable managing their own ledger and dealing confidently with customers and internal stakeholders.
You’ll ideally have:
- Previous experience in an end-to-end Credit Control role
- Experience managing high-value and/or high-volume accounts
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Excellent attention to detail and organisation
- The ability to prioritise and manage your own workload
- Good Excel and Microsoft Office skills
- Experience working to deadlines, targets and service levels
- A proactive approach and the confidence to deal with challenging queries
