PARALLEL RECRUITMENT LTD

Business Administrator

Armley, Leeds

12 month fixed term contract

£25,000 - £28,000

If you’re looking for a job where people notice the effort you put in and take an interest in how you’re getting on, this could be a good next step.

We are currently helping a tech company in Leeds that is looking to recruit a business administrator into the team to cover a maternity leave; it’s a great opportunity for someone that has built up a foundation in admin but wants a better place to work.

Why is it such a good opportunity:

It’s the team…this is a business that invests heavily in their staff, they make sure they don’t miss the important things like birthdays, salary reviews and taking the time to actually check in and make sure you are happy in your role.

Everyone pulls together when it gets busy, they do plenty inside and outside of work together and it creates an environment where people enjoy going to work.

What you’ll be doing:

This is such a varied role making it perfect for anyone that likes to be kept busy.

Ultimately you will be the person responsible (with the support of a junior administrator) for making sure that anything admin related runs smoothly in the background.

  • Accurately entering financial data on excel
  • Track actions and deadlines from meetings, follow up with different teams and flag anything that’s getting held up.
  • Look for ways to simplify repetitive admin processes as the business grows.
  • Support sales and marketing activity by keeping information organised, coordinating project details and pulling together updates.
  • Help keep work moving between sales, customer support, finance and operations by making sure requests reach the right people and are followed up.
  • Support finance and operations with invoices, purchase orders and supplier records.

To be considered:

You’ll need around 1–2 years’ experience in an admin or business admin role and a good grasp of the basics. You don’t need to have done every part of the job before; training and support will be provided.

What matters is a positive attitude, confidence in your admin skills and an interest in developing your career.
