Neurodiversity Practitioners, Leeds: Join Our Team - #2164141
Private Therapy Clinic
Private Therapy Clinic is looking for experienced neurodiversity practitioners to join our team in Leeds. You'll support adults (18+) exploring ADHD, autism or wider neurodivergent needs through needs-led conversations, psychoeducation, action planning and navigation. The work is delivered mainly face-to-face in Leeds, with phone and video options. It is not a diagnostic role.
The work:
• Structured, therapeutic needs-led conversations to understand strengths, difficulties, history, goals and risk
• Agreeing next steps with each person: support-only, wider navigation, onward ADHD/autism assessment, or waiting-well support
• Psychoeducation and personalised action plans (executive functioning, sensory needs, routines, sleep, emotional regulation, self-advocacy)
• Supporting informed choice between NHS and Right to Choose assessment routes, and preparing high-quality referrals
• Screening for risk and safeguarding, and escalating through agreed pathways
Essential:
• Professional training in counselling, psychotherapy, psychology, occupational therapy, speech and language therapy, art therapy, social work, nursing or a related discipline, with registration with a relevant UK body (e.g. HCPC, Social Work England, NMC, BACP, UKCP, NCPS, BABCP, BPS). We also welcome psychology graduates, PWPs and experienced neurodiversity coaches, who will receive in-house training and work under clinical supervision.
• Experience working with neurodivergent adults, ADHD and/or autism, or co-occurring mental health needs
• A neuro-affirming, strengths-based and trauma-informed approach
• Solid risk assessment, including suicidality and self-harm, and confidence with safeguarding
• Able to see clients in person in Leeds and offer reasonable adjustments and flexible access
• DBS checked, or willing to be
Desirable: lived experience of neurodivergence; experience in NHS, primary care or VCSE settings; Oliver McGowan training (or willingness to complete it); knowledge of employment, housing or welfare support routes.
What we offer:
• Self-employed practitioner: £25–£30 per hour
• Full-time PAYE practitioner: £36,000–£42,000 per year
• Steady referrals, with booking and admin handled for you
• Clinical supervision and case discussion from an established multidisciplinary clinic
• A neuro-affirming working environment
