As an Audit Assistant Manager, you will take ownership of your own portfolio of audit assignments while supporting and developing junior colleagues. This is a varied and visible position, with clear routes to Manager level for those who want to progress their career within a leading Public Sector audit practice.

You will join a friendly, collaborative audit team with a strong Public Sector client base, including local authorities, housing associations, education and charity clients.

What is the day-to-day of the role:

• Plan, lead and complete Public Sector audit assignments
• Review work prepared by audit seniors and juniors
• Act as a day to day contact for clients
• Coach and mentor junior members of the audit team
• Support the Manager and Partners with reporting and compliance

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• ACA, ACCA or ICAS qualified (or nearly qualified)
• Previous experience working within a UK Practice environment
• Public Sector audit experience, ideally with UK GAAP and ISAs
• Strong communication and team leadership skills
• Excellent attention to detail and time management
