Looking for a hands-on L&D professional who can hit the ground running and add value from day one.

We are seeking an experienced Interim Learning & Talent Development Partner to join a growing organisation on a 6-month fixed-term contract. This is an exciting opportunity for a proactive and commercially minded L&D professional who enjoys balancing strategy with hands-on delivery.

Client Details

Our client is a well-established organisation with a strong commitment to colleague development, engagement and career progression.

With a people-focused culture and ambitious plans for growth, they recognise that investing in learning and talent is fundamental to future success. This role offers an excellent opportunity to shape development initiatives while working alongside supportive and collaborative stakeholders.

This role has a Northern presence but includes a significant amount of remote working. You would be expected to be in Leeds on average x3 per month (but with business needs taken into account.)

Description

Working across the business, you will play a key role in developing learning initiatives, supporting talent development programmes, managing apprenticeship and early careers activity, and ensuring colleagues have access to high-quality learning solutions. This role requires someone who is happy to roll their sleeves up, work at pace, and quickly build relationships with stakeholders across the organisation.

As Interim Learning & Talent Development Partner, you will be responsible for designing, coordinating and delivering learning and development initiatives that support organisational growth and employee development.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Designing and delivering engaging learning and development programmes across the organisation.
  • Facilitating both virtual and face-to-face training sessions.
  • Supporting the organisation's apprenticeship and early careers programmes, ensuring individuals receive an excellent development experience.
  • Managing relationships with external learning providers and apprenticeship partners.
  • Overseeing the organisation's e-learning offering, ensuring content remains current, effective and aligned to business needs.
  • Working with outsourced learning providers to maximise the effectiveness of digital learning solutions.
  • Identifying learning needs through stakeholder engagement and workforce planning discussions.
  • Supporting talent development initiatives, succession planning and career development pathways.
  • Evaluating learning effectiveness and producing insights to demonstrate impact and value.
  • Partnering with managers and leaders to build capability across teams.
  • Supporting wider organisational development and people initiatives as required.

Profile

We are keen to hear from candidates who are:

  • Immediately available or available at short notice, for a November start.
  • Experienced in Learning & Development, Talent Development or Organisational Development roles.
  • Confident facilitators with experience delivering training both virtually and in person.
  • Experienced in managing apprenticeship programmes and supporting early careers talent.
  • Familiar with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and wider e-learning platforms.
  • Comfortable managing external learning suppliers and training providers.
  • Happy operating at both strategic and operational levels.
  • Able to work independently and build credibility quickly.
  • Pragmatic, proactive and willing to roll their sleeves up when needed.
  • CIPD qualified or working towards a relevant L&D qualification (desirable).

Please note: Hands-on training delivery, apprenticeship and early careers experience will be a key focus during the selection process. Relevant experience managing learning programmes, digital learning platforms and stakeholder relationships will be highly valued.
