B2B SDR Manager - #2169329
Parallel Partnerships Ltd
£40,000–£50,000 DOE basic + bonus
Leeds | 5 days in the office
We started Parallel Partnerships in 2023.
Three years later, we’re a multi-million-pound outsourced sales business with 50+ people, around 20 active clients and a growing B2B SDR division.
We now need someone genuinely good to take control of the day-to-day B2B operation.
This isn’t a “keep the team motivated and run a Monday morning meeting” Sales Manager role.
You’ll be stepping into a business that is already moving quickly, already winning clients and already has experienced people around you - but needs a stronger operator at the centre of B2B.
The opportunity is to take a team that currently still relies too much on the founder and turn it into a properly managed sales operation.
What you’d be walking into
Our B2B team works across multiple client campaigns at the same time.
One week you might have:
a software client launching with 2 SDRs
an existing client asking to add another 3 people
a campaign underperforming and needing intervention
a new starter cohort being trained
one client changing their messaging
another asking for a rep change
a TL whose team’s dial activity has dropped
a client meeting on Wednesday asking why meeting quality changed
Right now, too much of that still finds its way back to me as the owner.
Your job is to stop that happening.
You’ll have a Performance Manager, player-coach / TL support and additional management resource around you.
I don’t need you personally doing every coaching session.
I need you to know whether the coaching is happening, whether it’s working and what changes if it isn’t.
The actual job
You’ll own the day-to-day B2B sales operation.
That means when I ask:
“How is B2B doing?”
you should know.
Not just the headline number.
You should know:
which campaigns are ahead or behind
which reps are struggling
whether it is activity, skill, data or campaign-related
what managers are doing about it
where we have capacity
which client needs attention
what is launching next
what is likely to become a problem next week
Floor performance
You’ll be expected to stay close to the sales floor.
If somebody is sitting on 25 dials halfway through the afternoon, you should notice before I do.
If someone has booked nothing for three days, there should already be a plan.
If a manager says:
“They’re struggling with objections”
you should be able to listen to the calls yourself and decide whether that is actually true.
You don’t need to be the best cold caller in the building.
You do need to understand B2B cold calling properly.
Managing the management team
A big part of the role is making our management layer stronger.
You’ll work closely with our Performance Manager and Team Leaders and make sure they are managing outcomes rather than just completing tasks.
That means:
clear expectations
proper follow-through
performance plans
activity accountability
coaching actions
deadlines
escalation when something isn’t improving
I don’t want another person describing problems to me.
I want someone who comes with:
Here’s the problem.
Here’s why it is happening.
Here’s what we’re doing.
Here’s when I expect it to improve.
Clients
You’ll also own the day-to-day relationship with a portfolio of our B2B clients.
Not every client - I’ll remain heavily involved in our largest and most strategic accounts.
But you’ll become the person clients can rely on for:
campaign updates
meeting feedback
messaging changes
quality concerns
rep changes
performance discussions
smaller campaign decisions
You should be comfortable speaking to a client at 10am, walking onto the floor afterwards and making sure what was agreed actually changes.
New campaigns
Once we sign a new client, I don’t want to remain the project manager.
You’ll take it from:
“Contract signed”
to:
“Reps trained, script ready, campaign live and properly managed.”
That includes:
resource
script and messaging
client training
rep preparation
internal handover
launch
early performance monitoring
We regularly onboard new B2B campaigns, so being organised here matters.
Resource
You’ll also help plan where people sit across campaigns.
If:
one campaign expands
another pauses
someone leaves
a client asks for a replacement
we have five new starters arriving
there needs to be an actual plan.
Not a scramble the night before training.
What we’re specifically looking for
The right person has probably already run an outbound sales floor, specifically cold calling b2b appointment setting.
Ideally you’ve managed 15–30+ SDRs, telesales reps or inside-sales people, either directly or through TLs.
You should have real experience with:
B2B outbound sales
cold calling
activity management
call coaching
underperformance
managing Team Leaders
client / stakeholder conversations
running multiple priorities at once
difficult conversations
turning weak sales performance around
You do not need outsourced-sales agency experience.
Our current Head of B2B didn’t come from that world either.
But you do need to understand the mechanics of outbound sales.
What would make you successful here
After 90 days, I’d expect:
I am spending materially less time chasing B2B activity
managers are clearer on what they own
low performers are being dealt with earlier
campaign launches feel organised
smaller clients are not relying on me for routine communication
resource planning is happening ahead of time
fewer issues are becoming emergencies
you can tell me exactly what is working, what isn’t and what we’re doing about it
That is success.
Why join Parallel?
This is the bit I think matters.
You’re not joining a mature corporate sales department where everything has already been built.
You’re joining a company that has gone from startup to multi-million-pound revenue in around three years, and is still growing quickly.
We are actively hiring more SDRs, building an internal new-business team and winning larger outsourced sales contracts.
There is plenty that works.
There is also plenty that can be significantly better.
That is the opportunity.
If you are good, you’ll have genuine influence over:
how the B2B function is structured
how managers are managed
how campaigns launch
how performance is measured
how the sales floor operates
how the department scales
And as the business grows, there is a very obvious route for this role to grow with it.
I’m not looking for someone to occupy a management position.
I’m looking for someone who wants to build a very good B2B sales operation.
