CMM Operator - #2170004

Elevation Recruitment are working with a well-established manufacturing business in Leeds to recruit a CMM Operator. This is a great opportunity for a detail-oriented quality professional with experience in dimensional inspection and coordinate measuring machinery to join a busy engineering environment.

Salary: Up to £45,000 DOE
Location: Leeds

Responsibilities

• Operate CMM equipment to inspect components against engineering drawings and specifications
• Carry out first-off, in-process and final inspection activities
• Interpret technical drawings and tolerances to ensure product compliance
• Create, run or amend CMM programs where required
• Accurately record inspection findings and maintain quality documentation
• Identify non-conformances and support quality investigations
• Work closely with production and quality teams to maintain standards
• Support continuous improvement across inspection and quality processes

Requirements

• Previous experience working as a CMM Operator within a manufacturing or engineering environment
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
• Good understanding of GD&T and dimensional inspection processes
• Experience using precision measuring equipment
• Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach
• Ability to work independently and as part of a wider quality or production team
• Good communication and problem-solving skills
