As a ClickHouse Data Engineer will design, implement, and optimize data solutions built on ClickHouse for a range of client projects in a full-time hybrid role based, with some flexibility for working from home. Day-to-day responsibilities include building and maintaining data pipelines, modeling data structures, configuring and tuning ClickHouse clusters, and integrating ClickHouse with analytics and AI workloads. The role involves collaborating with consultants, data scientists, and client engineering teams to understand requirements, translate them into scalable architectures, and ensure data quality, reliability, and performance. The ClickHouse Data Engineer will also contribute to observability and monitoring using tools such as ClickStack, support migrations to ClickHouse Cloud, and assist with troubleshooting, documentation, and best practices. Participation in code reviews, technical knowledge sharing, and ongoing learning about new ClickHouse features and related tooling is expected.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong skills in Data Engineering and Data Warehousing, including building and maintaining scalable data platforms.
• Candidates should possess solid skills in Data Modeling and Data Analytics to design efficient schemas and support real-time analytical workloads.
• Candidates should possess practical experience with Extract Transform Load (ETL) processes, including pipeline orchestration, data integration, and data quality management.
• Candidates should possess hands-on experience with ClickHouse (or similar columnar/OLAP databases), including performance tuning, cluster configuration, and query optimization.
• Proficiency in SQL and at least one programming language commonly used in data engineering (e.g., Python, Go, or Java) is beneficial.
• Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., ClickHouse Cloud, AWS, GCP, or Azure) and modern data tooling (e.g., orchestration frameworks, observability tools) is beneficial.
• Strong problem-solving skills, ability to work in a consulting environment with clients, and clear written and verbal communication skills are beneficial.
