Harris & Co Executive Search

Recruitment Training Director

Harris & Co | UK, Dubai & USA | Frequent International Travel Required

Harris & Co is looking for an experienced Recruitment Training Director to lead the development of our consultants across our international offices.

We are a high-performing executive search business specialising in senior-level appointments across the US market, operating within Construction, Heavy Civils, Finance and Life Sciences.

With established offices in Leeds and Dubai, and our US expansion planned for September 2027, we're entering an exciting period of growth and are looking for someone who can play a key role in developing our people and supporting our international ambitions.

Our approach to hiring differs across our offices. In Leeds, we exclusively recruit graduates and develop them into high-performing consultants through structured training and progression. In Dubai, our focus is on attracting experienced recruiters who can thrive in an ambitious, commercially driven environment.

We have built a culture of high performance, where expectations are high, success is rewarded and continuous development is fundamental to how we operate.

This is a highly international, hands-on position requiring frequent travel between the UK, Dubai and the US. The successful candidate will be expected to spend significant time working directly with our teams across each location. Flexibility and a genuine willingness to travel regularly are essential.

We're looking for someone with extensive executive search experience, a proven track record of personal billings and the ability to develop successful recruiters at every stage of their career.

The Role:

  • Take ownership of our recruitment training strategy across Leeds, Dubai and our future US operation.
  • Design and deliver structured graduate training programmes, developing entry-level consultants into successful billers.
  • Work closely with experienced consultants in Dubai to improve performance, increase billings and support progression.
  • Partner with our Directors to identify development opportunities and implement commercially focused training.
  • Deliver hands-on coaching across the executive search lifecycle, including business development, market mapping, candidate engagement, client management, negotiation and closing.
  • Develop clear performance benchmarks and measure the impact of training on individual and team results.
  • Support the development of future managers and leaders as the business continues to expand.
  • Maintain a regular, on-site presence across our international offices, with frequent travel forming a core part of the position.

What We're Looking For:

  • Extensive executive search experience is essential, with a strong background in senior-level permanent placements.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience working within recruitment, ideally with significant tenure at one business.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in recruitment training, or substantial equivalent experience within a senior recruitment leadership role.
  • A proven personal billing history within executive search, with demonstrable commercial success.
  • Experience designing, implementing and delivering training programmes that have produced measurable results.
  • Experience developing both entry-level consultants and established, high-performing recruiters.
  • A comprehensive understanding of executive search methodologies, business development and the commercial drivers of a successful search business.
  • Confidence working alongside senior leadership and challenging existing approaches where necessary.
  • Full flexibility to undertake frequent international travel, including regular trips between the UK, Dubai and the US, potentially multiple times per quarter.

Why Harris & Co?

We have ambitious plans for the future, and developing our people is central to achieving them.

Our Leeds office is built around graduate development, with every Director having progressed through the business from an entry-level position. In Dubai, we have established an experienced team operating within a competitive, high-performance environment.

As we prepare to establish our US presence, this role will be instrumental in ensuring our training, standards and performance continue to develop alongside the business.

You'll have the autonomy to shape our training function, work directly with our leadership team and make a tangible impact on the performance and long-term success of Harris & Co.
