National Account Manager - #2171133

About the Role

We're looking for an experienced Senior National Account Manager to manage key relationships with some of the UK's largest retailers.

You'll be responsible for maintaining and growing existing accounts, driving commercial performance, managing profitability and ensuring strong relationships with senior retail stakeholders.

This is a great opportunity for someone with a strong FMCG or grocery retail background who enjoys taking ownership of major accounts and leading a small team.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and develop relationships with major UK retail accounts.
• Drive sales growth, profitability and overall account performance.
• Develop and deliver Joint Business Plans (JBPs).
• Lead commercial negotiations with senior retail stakeholders.
• Manage budgets, forecasting and P&L performance.
• Identify opportunities to improve in-store performance and product visibility.
• Line manage and support two account management professionals.
• Work closely with internal teams to ensure smooth delivery across accounts.

What We're Looking For

• Strong National Account Management experience within FMCG, consumer goods or grocery retail.
• Experience managing major UK retailers such as Asda, Morrisons, Tesco, Sainsbury's, Waitrose or Ocado.
• Proven commercial experience, including negotiations, JBPs and P&L management.
• Previous people management experience.
• Confident building relationships with senior stakeholders.
• Strong analytical, communication and organisational skills.
• Willingness to travel regularly to retailer head offices and stores.
