Site Reliability Engineer - Multiple roles - Hybrid - #2171527

An established technology consultancy is recruiting multiple Site Reliability Engineers to join its growing national security team in Leeds. You’ll use software and systems engineering to improve the availability, performance and resilience of critical services, replacing repetitive operational tasks with automation. Working closely with product teams, you’ll strengthen monitoring, resolve complex issues and help build systems that remain reliable at scale.

What you need

• A background in software engineering, systems engineering or site reliability, with a strong interest in automation.
• Development experience with Java and familiarity with web technologies such as JavaScript and HTML.
• Confidence working with Linux and Windows command lines, including Bash or PowerShell.
• Hands-on cloud infrastructure experience with AWS, Azure or OpenStack.
• Experience monitoring systems and diagnosing application or infrastructure issues across the technology stack.
• Familiarity with tools and technologies such as ELK, Elasticsearch, MongoDB, Docker, Chef or Puppet.
• An understanding of scalable, resilient systems and microservices architectures.
• Experience working in Agile teams; familiarity with ITIL, automated testing or open-source development would be beneficial.
• Willingness and eligibility to undergo the high-level security vetting required for these roles.
