I'm recruiting a Financial Reporting Accountant in Leeds. It's a good next move for a qualified ACA or ACCA who wants proper reporting work. Statutory accounts, technical papers and the audit, rather than another year of running the month end.
The business
A well established business in a regulated financial services environment. The Leeds finance team reports across a group of companies. The reporting has to be right because auditors and regulators read it closely.
The role
• You'd prepare the monthly management accounts and the analysis that goes with them.
• You'd help run the month end: journals, ledger review and balance sheet reconciliations.
• You'd look after the fixed asset registers.
• You'd work on the statutory accounts and the regulatory returns.
• You'd research technical accounting questions and write up the position.
• You'd be a main point of contact for the external auditors.
• You'd support the budget and pick up finance projects, and fix the processes that slow the team down.
The person
• ACA or ACCA qualified, with some post-qualification time in financial reporting or accounting. Practice or industry both work.
• You've prepared statutory financial statements and you know your reporting standards and controls.
• Strong Excel, and comfortable explaining the numbers to people outside finance.
