About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Building Services Design Engineer to join our team, based out of our Morley office. This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong engineer with a proven track record in full building services design, HVAC systems and building regulations.

The successful candidate will take ownership of projects from initial concept through to detailed design and delivery, ensuring that all designs meet relevant building regulations, industry standards and client requirements.

The role will involve working across a variety of projects, collaborating with clients, contractors and other design professionals to deliver high-quality, efficient and compliant building services solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver full building services design from concept and feasibility through to detailed design and project completion.
• Design and develop HVAC systems, including heating, ventilation and air conditioning solutions.
• Ensure all designs comply with current Building Regulations, relevant legislation and applicable industry standards.
• Produce and review technical drawings, specifications, calculations and design documentation.
• Coordinate building services designs with other disciplines to ensure seamless project integration.
• Liaise with clients, contractors, consultants and suppliers throughout the project lifecycle.
• Undertake site visits and surveys as required, including occasional travel to projects nationwide.
• Identify opportunities to improve system efficiency, sustainability and overall design performance.
• Provide technical support and resolve design issues as they arise.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Proven experience in a Building Services Design Engineer role.
• Demonstrable experience delivering full building services design from concept through to completion.
• Strong technical knowledge and practical design experience with HVAC systems.
• A thorough understanding of UK Building Regulations and relevant compliance requirements.
• The ability to produce and interpret technical drawings, specifications and design calculations.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication and organisational skills.
• The confidence to manage design responsibilities independently while working effectively as part of a wider project team.
• A willingness to travel nationwide occasionally when project requirements dictate.

Relevant engineering qualifications and professional accreditation would be advantageous.
