Full Stack Developer - Python, AWS, TypeScript/React

• Location: Leeds (hybrid, 1-2 days per month on site)
• Rate: £500 per day, Inside IR35
• Duration: Until May 2027
• Public Sector/Government/NHS Experience essential

Overview

We're looking for a Full Stack Developer to join an NHS digital transformation programme, building and improving cloud-based services. You'll work across the full stack in Python and TypeScript, deploying on AWS with infrastructure as code and modern CI/CD practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain full stack applications using Python and TypeScript
• Develop and deploy services on AWS
• Write and manage infrastructure as code using Terraform
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines to support fast, reliable releases
• Work closely with delivery, product and engineering colleagues in an agile team
• Write clean, tested and well-documented code
• Support troubleshooting and continuous improvement of live services

Key Requirements

• Strong commercial experience as a Full Stack Developer
• Solid Python development experience
• Strong TypeScript experience, front and back end
• Hands-on AWS experience
• Infrastructure as code using Terraform
• Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines
• Comfortable working in agile delivery teams

Desirable

• Public sector or NHS programme experience
• Experience with containerisation (Docker, ECS or similar)
• Understanding of GDS service standards
• Active security clearance or willingness to obtain BPSS
