Residential Conveyancer

£32,000- £45,000

Established Firm. Client-Focused Work. A Strong Team Environment.

What if your next move offered the opportunity to build on your conveyancing experience within an established regional law firm, where personal service, practical legal advice and long-standing client relationships remain at the heart of the business?

We’re working with a well-established, multi-office law firm in Leeds that is looking to welcome a Residential Conveyancer to its property team. With a long-standing presence in the local legal market and a broad range of specialist legal services, this is an opportunity to join a firm with strong regional roots and a clear commitment to putting clients first.

Whether you’re a conveyancing fee earner looking to take the next step in your career or an experienced case handler ready for a new environment, this role offers the chance to develop your expertise, manage a varied caseload and play an important part in delivering a positive client experience.

Why This Role Stands Out

Not every opportunity needs to promise the world. Sometimes, the right move is joining an established firm where you can build on your experience, work alongside other legal specialists and make a genuine difference to clients navigating one of life’s biggest transactions.

You’ll benefit from:

  • An established legal practice – join a firm with a long-standing history and an established presence across Leeds and the wider West Yorkshire region.
  • A client-first approach – work in an environment where delivering practical advice, clear communication and a professional service is central to the firm’s ethos.
  • A varied property caseload – continue developing your technical knowledge across a range of residential conveyancing transactions.
  • A multi-disciplinary legal environment – work within a wider practice offering expertise across multiple areas of law.
  • An opportunity to develop – build on your existing case-handling experience and continue progressing your career within residential property.

For someone with a solid grounding in conveyancing who wants to take ownership of their work within an established firm, this is an opportunity worth exploring.

The Role

You’ll join the residential conveyancing team at the firm’s Leeds office, handling a varied caseload of property transactions and helping clients progress their matters from instruction through to completion.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Managing residential property transactions, including freehold and leasehold sales and purchases.
  • Progressing files efficiently, ensuring deadlines and key milestones are met.
  • Reviewing title documentation, raising enquiries and liaising with other solicitors, estate agents, mortgage lenders and clients.
  • Keeping clients informed throughout the transaction and managing expectations at every stage.
  • Preparing and reviewing legal documentation, carrying out relevant checks and maintaining accurate file records.
  • Coordinating exchanges and completions, with responsibility for the associated post-completion work.
  • Delivering a professional, responsive service while maintaining high standards of compliance and attention to detail.

You’ll be trusted to take responsibility for your matters, communicate confidently with clients and third parties, and contribute to the smooth running of the wider team.

About You

To be considered, you’ll have:

  • At least 2 years’ residential conveyancing case-handling experience.
  • A good working knowledge of the residential property transaction process.
  • Experience progressing files, managing deadlines and communicating with clients and third parties.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise a varied workload.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to delivering a high standard of client service.
  • A proactive, professional approach and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.

Applications are welcomed from experienced conveyancing fee earners and case handlers, including Solicitors, Licensed Conveyancers, CILEX professionals and non-qualified conveyancers with relevant experience.

You don’t necessarily need to have reached the end of your career progression. What matters most is that you have a solid foundation in residential conveyancing, take pride in your work and are ready to make your next move.

The Package

  • £32,000–£40,000, depending on experience and level of responsibility.
  • Full-time, permanent position.
  • Leeds office location, with an established regional firm.
  • Opportunity to handle a varied residential conveyancing caseload.
  • The chance to develop your experience within a long-standing, multi-disciplinary legal practice.
  • A client-focused working environment with an emphasis on professional service and practical legal advice.
