Bid Consultant - #2175380

A growing bid consultancy is seeking a Bid Manager to join its successful team. The ideal candidate will have experience managing the end-to-end bid process, excellent writing skills, and the ability to build strong relationships with subject matter experts.

This role can be based anywhere in the UK, however you will be required to travel to Leeds once per month, at your own expense (as this will be your contracted office location). Hybrid working options are also available should you wish to be in the office more often. The salary is £30,000 - £60,000 depending on experience, and applicants must have a minimum of 2 years experience in bids.

The consultancy welcomes candidates from a variety of sector backgrounds, as it bids across a wide range of industries. A relevant degree, such as English, Creative Writing or Journalism, would be advantageous.

Duties and responsibilities:

• Managing subject matter experts (SMEs) throughout the tender production process, ensuring responses are compelling and achieve high scores.
• Utilising a range of tools to support SMEs in producing high-quality answers.
• Writing bid responses using various data sources, including client interviews, bid library content and online research.
• Reviewing and editing responses, providing written and verbal feedback and guidance.
• Participating in a variety of customer meetings.
• Managing online procurement portals.
• Acting as a point of contact for customer queries and building close, trusted relationships.
• Supporting customers in optimising their business development and bidding processes.
• Using online procurement portals to identify and share potential tender opportunities for both the consultancy and its customers.
• Supporting customers in preparing for presentations, including facilitating meetings, developing slide content, and observing practice presentations to provide constructive feedback.
