Housing Support Worker - #2175391

Archer recruitment Group is currently recruiting an experienced Housing Support Worker to join a Homeless Housing Support Service in Leeds on a temporary, ongoing basis. This is a great opportunity for a Housing Support Worker with a genuine passion for supporting people from homelessness to thriving in their own tenancies.

As a Housing Support Worker, you’ll give person-centred, trauma-informed support to people who are homeless or at risk of homelessness. You’ll help them secure and keep a home, build their independence and improve their wellbeing.

Recovery Worker – Role details:

• Location: Leeds
• Pay rate: £18 - £20 per hour
• Hours: Monday to Friday, 9am - 5pm
• Contract: Temporary, ongoing
• DBS: On the Update Service

What you’ll be doing as a Housing Support Worker:

• Delivering one-to-one key work sessions for people experiencing or at risk of homelessness
• Completing needs and risk assessments and creating person-centred support plans
• Working with multi-agency partners across housing, health, social care and criminal justice
• Supporting service users to maintain their tenancies, manage their benefits and budgets, and move on to independent living
• Keeping accurate case notes in line with service requirements

What we’re looking for in a Housing Support Worker:

• Experience in homelessness, supported housing or housing-related support services
• A good understanding of trauma-informed and person-centred approaches
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
• DBS on the Update Service
• A real passion for helping vulnerable adults find and keep a settled home
