Senior MERN / Full Stack Developer

Location: Leeds or Halifax (2 days per week onsite)

Rate: £350-£375 per day (Inside IR35)

Duration: 6-12 Months

Spencer Rose is currently recruiting for a Senior MERN / Full Stack Developer to join a Tier-1 banking client on a long-term contract engagement.

This role is ideal for a highly technical engineer with strong experience across the MERN stack, who enjoys building and delivering scalable web applications within complex enterprise environments.

The MERN/Full Stack Developer will have the following responsibilities -

• Responsible for designing, developing, testing and deploying modern full-stack applications, working closely with product, engineering and business teams to deliver high-quality software solutions.
• Develop and maintain scalable full-stack applications using React, Node.js, Express and MongoDB
• Write clean, maintainable and well tested code following engineering best practices
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to improving development standards

The MERN/Full Stack Developer will need to have the following skills/experience -

• Strong commercial experience developing full-stack applications using the MERN stack (MongoDB, Express.js, React and Node.js).
• Proficiency in JavaScript and TypeScript, with a strong understanding of modern development patterns and best practices
• Hands-on experience writing automated unit tests using Jest and React Testing Library
• Ideally worked within Financial Services, Banking or Insurance industry space
