Software Developer / Front End Developer – Public Sector | £420/day Inside IR35

We’re hiring Software Developers and Front End Developers to join a major public sector organisation delivering digital services at scale.

Rate: £420/day (inc. fees)

Clearance: BPSS

Location: TBC. Please tell us your location and how much you can travel to client sites across the UK when you apply.

What you’ll be doing:

Building and delivering new features, services and systems

Following engineering best practice to write secure code that meets agreed requirements and priorities

Delivering quality software that’s easy to maintain

Troubleshooting technical and user-related issues with the applications

Giving technical support to other members of the team

Providing 2nd and 3rd line support for existing services, including handling and resolving incidents

Carrying out ongoing maintenance of existing and new services

Essential:

Developing and maintaining enterprise applications in Java and Spring

Microservices and related technologies

Designing and planning the delivery of services and systems

SQL and NoSQL databases

Docker and images

GitLab CI/CD

AWS and Kubernetes

Engineering standards and how to apply them

Desirable:

Node.js

GOV.UK One Login integration

Front end development

Containers and ECS/EKS

Experience of the HCS/EKS platform
