Head of IT Security, Infrastructure & Information Security - #2181516

Seeking a technically strong Head of IT, Infrastructure & Information Security to oversee internal IT operations, infrastructure, networking, security and client-facing technical support.

The role combines hands-on technical expertise with leadership and client advisory responsibilities. Working closely with engineering, product and client teams, you will advise on the implementation and integration of the clients mortgage technology platform, ensuring solutions are secure, practical and aligned with the existing architecture.

You'll need the technical credibility and confidence to challenge client requests, explain what is achievable and recommend appropriate alternatives, while maintaining strong customer relationships.

Key Responsibilities

• Infrastructure & Networking: Oversee cloud infrastructure, network connectivity, firewalls, VPNs, DNS, access management and overall system reliability.
• Information Security & Compliance: Own and maintain ISO 27001 processes, security policies, risk assessments, audits, vulnerability management and incident response.
• Client Technical Advisory: Attend client meetings to assess infrastructure, networking, integration and security requirements, advising on feasibility, limitations and implementation priorities.
• Platform Integration: Work with engineering teams on secure API connectivity, authentication, network configuration and integration with client systems.
• IT Operations & Support: Oversee internal IT, support tickets, technical escalations, incident resolution and root-cause analysis.
• Service Management: Maintain operational standards, SLAs, change management processes, business continuity and disaster recovery arrangements.
• Technical Leadership: Act as a senior technical authority, managing suppliers, supporting internal teams and making informed decisions that balance client requirements, security and operational capabilities.

Essential Experience

• Strong technical background in IT infrastructure, networking and information security.
• Hands-on experience with cloud environments, ideally Microsoft Azure.
• Good understanding of firewalls, VPNs, TCP/IP, DNS, identity management and secure connectivity.
• Experience managing ISO 27001, security compliance, audits and technical risk.
• Understanding of APIs, system integrations, authentication and security architecture.
• Experience overseeing IT support, incident management and operational troubleshooting.
• Confidence working directly with clients and senior stakeholders, challenging requirements and communicating technical limitations.
• Experience leading technical teams or taking ownership of IT and security operations.

Desirable Experience

• Background in B2B SaaS, fintech, financial services or regulated technology.
• Experience supporting cloud-hosted software platforms and client implementations.
• Knowledge of ITIL, disaster recovery and business continuity.
• Relevant certifications such as ISO 27001 Lead Implementer, CISSP, CISM or Microsoft Azure certifications.
