Company Overview
SoilDri is a fast-growing business providing innovative and sustainable soil treatment solutions to the UK construction industry.
Working as part of a wider group of businesses, this role will support the marketing of SoilDri, Ecofill and Net Zero Construct – three growing brands focused on delivering innovative, lower-carbon solutions to the construction sector.
This is a varied, hands-on digital marketing role offering the successful candidate the opportunity to work across three businesses, multiple brands and a wide range of marketing channels.
Job Title: Digital Marketing Executive
Location: SoilDri Office
Reports to: Director / Head of Marketing & Communications
Role Overview
We are looking for an ambitious and creative Digital Marketing Executive to support the delivery of marketing activity across SoilDri, Ecofill and Net Zero Construct.
Working closely with the Director / Head of Marketing & Communications, you will take responsibility for the day-to-day delivery of digital marketing across the three brands, including SEO, websites, social media, digital campaigns, content creation, video production and editing, email marketing and analytics.
We are particularly interested in someone who understands how AI is changing marketing and is already comfortable using AI tools to improve research, content development, creative production, campaign delivery and marketing efficiency.
This is not simply a social media role. We are looking for someone with a broad digital skillset who can create great content, understands what drives online performance and is equally comfortable updating a website, analysing SEO performance, editing a video or developing a campaign.
The role offers considerable scope for development and would particularly suit someone looking to broaden their experience and progress towards a Senior Marketing Manager position as the businesses continue to grow.
Key Responsibilities
1. Digital Marketing, SEO & Websites
- Support the development and delivery of digital marketing activity across SoilDri, Ecofill and Net Zero Construct.
- Manage and continually improve the three companies' websites, keeping content accurate, engaging and optimised.
- Take an active role in SEO, including keyword research, on-page optimisation, technical SEO, content optimisation and monitoring search performance.
- Identify opportunities to improve organic search rankings, website traffic and conversions.
- Support and manage PPC and paid digital campaigns, including Google Ads and LinkedIn campaigns.
- Create and optimise landing pages to support campaigns and lead generation.
- Monitor website and campaign performance using analytics and reporting tools, identifying opportunities for improvement.
2. Content Creation & Video
- Create engaging, high-quality content across the three brands, including website copy, blogs, case studies, project stories, email campaigns, presentations and social media content.
- Develop content from projects, technical information, customer stories and activity taking place across the businesses.
- Create engaging visual and video content for websites, social media, presentations, events and campaigns.
- Film, edit and produce short-form video content, including project footage, interviews, customer testimonials, social media videos and promotional content.
- Edit existing footage into professional, engaging content suitable for different digital platforms.
- Work with colleagues across the businesses to identify stories and turn technical or complex information into clear, compelling marketing content.
- Maintain consistent brand standards and tone of voice across all content.
3. Social Media & Digital Engagement
- Manage day-to-day social media activity across the three businesses, with a particular focus on LinkedIn.
- Develop engaging social content rather than simply scheduling corporate updates.
- Create a mix of written, visual and video content designed to increase reach, engagement and brand awareness.
- Plan and maintain content calendars across the three brands.
- Support targeted paid social campaigns and audience development.
- Monitor performance and use insights to continually improve content and engagement.
4. AI & Marketing Technology
- Use AI tools confidently and responsibly to support marketing activity, including research, content development, creative concepts, image and video production, SEO and campaign optimisation.
- Explore new AI and marketing technologies that could improve the quality, speed and effectiveness of marketing activity.
- Help develop practical AI-enabled marketing workflows across the businesses.
- Keep up to date with developments in AI, search, social media, digital marketing and content creation and recommend new approaches where appropriate.
- Use AI as a tool to enhance creativity and productivity while maintaining strong editorial judgement, accuracy and brand consistency.
5. Lead Generation & Campaign Delivery
- Support the development and delivery of integrated campaigns designed to generate awareness, enquiries and qualified leads.
- Create campaign assets including landing pages, email campaigns, digital advertising, social content and supporting collateral.
- Support email marketing and customer communications across the businesses.
- Monitor campaign performance and use data to continually improve results.
- Work closely with commercial and sales colleagues to ensure marketing activity supports business development priorities.
6. PR, Events & Industry Engagement
- Support the Director/Head of Marketing & Communications with PR, media activity and industry communications.
- Help develop press releases, project stories, award submissions and editorial content.
- Support the promotion and delivery of exhibitions, conferences, webinars, customer events and industry partnerships.
- Help maximise the value of memberships, partnerships and industry relationships.
- Support the creation of presentations, exhibition materials, brochures and other marketing collateral.
7. Wider Marketing Support
- Provide day-to-day marketing support across all three businesses.
- Work with sales, technical and operational teams to produce customer-facing materials and communications.
- Coordinate with external designers, agencies, printers, photographers or videographers where required.
- Help maintain marketing assets, photography, video libraries, templates and brand materials.
- Provide ad hoc support for presentations, internal communications and other marketing projects.
Qualifications & Experience
We are looking for someone with practical, hands-on marketing experience rather than someone who has specialised in only one area.
The successful candidate should have:
- Previous experience in a digital marketing, marketing executive or similar role.
- Strong practical knowledge of SEO, including on-page optimisation, keyword research and content optimisation.
- Experience managing or updating websites and CMS platforms.
- Good understanding of Google Analytics, Google Search Console and Google Ads.
- Experience managing business social media channels, particularly LinkedIn.
- Strong content writing and copywriting skills, with excellent written English.
- Experience creating and editing video content for digital and social media use.
- Experience with video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, CapCut, DaVinci Resolve or similar.
- Strong experience using Canva to create professional, on-brand social media graphics, presentations, marketing collateral and digital content.
- Good visual judgement and the ability to create professional digital content.
- Practical experience using generative AI tools within marketing or content creation.
- An understanding of paid digital advertising, email marketing and lead generation.
- The ability to interpret marketing data and use it to improve performance.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage activity across several brands and projects simultaneously.
- Experience within construction, sustainability, technology or B2B marketing would be advantageous but is not essential.
The Person
We're looking for someone who is:
- Creative – able to spot a story or content opportunity and turn it into something engaging.
- Digitally confident – comfortable working across websites, SEO, social media, video, analytics and emerging technologies.
- Curious about AI – actively experimenting with new tools rather than waiting to be shown how to use them.
- Hands-on – happy to create, edit, publish and deliver rather than simply brief others.
- Commercially aware – understands that marketing ultimately needs to support growth and generate opportunities.
- Organised – able to manage multiple brands, campaigns and priorities.
- Proactive – someone who brings ideas and identifies opportunities rather than waiting for a list of tasks.
- Ambitious – keen to develop their skills, take on greater responsibility and progress as the marketing function grows.
What We Offer
- Competitive salary and benefits package.
- The opportunity to work across three innovative and fast-growing businesses.
- Exposure to an unusually broad range of marketing activity including digital, content, video, AI, PR, events and lead generation.
- The opportunity to work directly with and learn from the Head of Marketing & Communications.
- Significant freedom to introduce new ideas, technologies and ways of working.
- A role with genuine scope to grow in responsibility as the businesses develop.
- A clear opportunity to progress towards a Marketing Manager role.
