Great events depend on someone who gets every detail right. Could that be you?

From awards ceremonies and conferences to business breakfasts, events bring people together, build relationships and create opportunities. At Iconic Live, part of Iconic Media, we’re looking for an organised, customer-focused Event Manager to make sure our events deliver for everyone involved.

If you enjoy taking a plan through to a successful live event, building strong client relationships and keeping everything moving behind the scenes, this is an opportunity to put your experience to work across a varied events portfolio.

Your role

Reporting to the appropriate Regional Head of Events, you’ll take responsibility for planning and delivering your allocated events, ensuring they run smoothly, meet agreed budgets and leave clients, sponsors and guests with a positive experience.

This is an event management role with no line management responsibilities, however, for ambitious individuals there are career development opportunities to progress to senior appointments. You’ll coordinate suppliers and work closely with colleagues across events, sales and marketing to bring each event together.

Managing event plans, schedules and logistics will be key, as will keeping preparations on track and building strong relationships with clients and sponsors, understanding their requirements and delivering what has been agreed. You will also:

● Source and coordinate venues, suppliers, hosts, speakers and entertainment.

● Manage budgets, negotiate supplier costs and monitor expenditure

● Work with sales and marketing colleagues to support sponsorship commitments, drive ticket sales and maximise event promotion

● Oversee delivery on the day, resolving issues calmly and keeping clients and guests informed

● Gather feedback and review results, identifying ways to improve future events.

What you’ll bring

You’ll have practical experience of delivering B2B events, ideally including awards ceremonies or conferences. Experience within publishing, media or an events business would be useful, alongside a clear understanding of what makes an event successful for clients and commercially viable.

You’ll be comfortable managing several projects at once, keeping a close eye on detail and communicating confidently with customers, suppliers and colleagues. Above all, you’ll take ownership, anticipate problems and remain composed when plans change.

Your location and working arrangements

You must be able to commute regularly to our Manchester or Leeds office. Office attendance is required on all working days when you are not attending events or meeting customers in the field. This is an office-based position, with no routine homeworking arrangement.

You must also be willing to travel to deliver events and attend customer meetings, with flexibility around working hours to meet event schedules.

Ready to make your next event a success?

Please email your CV and a short covering letter outlining your relevant experience, notice period, salary expectations and preferred office location.
