An opportunity for an experienced Property Litigation Solicitor to join a highly regarded, Legal 500 regional firm with deep roots in the West Yorkshire market.

This is a firm that has built a strong reputation for the quality of its work and the clients it represents, without losing sight of the people who make it tick.

The team advises on a varied and interesting caseload of commercial property disputes, acting for investors, landlords, retailers and established businesses, including some recognisable names across the retail and property sectors.

The work

There is plenty of technical variety here, covering areas such as:

• Landlord and tenant disputes, including lease renewals, forfeiture and lease termination.
• Dilapidations, breaches of covenant and break notices.
• Recovery of possession and rent arrears.
• Rights of way, easements and other land-related disputes.
• Property disputes arising from development and redevelopment projects.
• Planning-related litigation, including judicial reviews and compulsory purchase matters.

The team also has experience advising on more complex and high-profile property matters, so there's good scope to develop your technical expertise and get involved in quality work.

The opportunity

The firm is looking for someone around 5 PQE or above who has a solid grounding in property litigation and is keen to continue developing their practice.

Alongside managing your own matters, there will be an opportunity to support and mentor more junior members of the team, helping them develop and contributing to the wider growth of the department.

It's not necessarily about coming in with all the answers, but having the experience, judgement and communication skills to make a positive contribution.
