Business Advisory Manager - #2185566

A national accountancy firm is looking to recruit an experienced Business Advisory Manager to join its growing team, providing outsourced finance and accounting services to a varied portfolio of clients.

This is a broad, client-facing role combining technical accounting, portfolio management and team leadership.

The Role

• Manage a portfolio of outsourced finance clients, acting as their main point of contact.
• Oversee the preparation and review of management accounts, VAT returns and statutory financial statements.
• Support clients with accounting system implementations, migrations, integrations and onboarding.
• Lead projects involving finance process improvements, system upgrades, financial clean-ups and reporting enhancements.
• Provide support with budgeting, forecasting, cash flow, consolidations and KPI reporting.
• Apply strong UK GAAP and IFRS knowledge to resolve technical accounting issues.
• Manage and develop junior team members, reviewing work and supporting their progression.
• Monitor deadlines, budgets, WIP and portfolio profitability.
• Build strong client relationships and identify opportunities to develop the firm's outsourced service offering.

The Person

• ACA/ACCA qualified, with post-qualification experience.
• Proven Manager-level experience within an accountancy practice.
• Strong technical accounting knowledge, including UK GAAP and ideally IFRS.
• Experience managing client portfolios and delivering outsourced finance or accounting services.
• Good knowledge of cloud accounting systems such as Xero, QuickBooks or Sage.
• Experience with system implementations, migrations and integrations would be particularly advantageous.
• Commercially aware, with strong client-facing and communication skills.
• Confident managing a team, taking ownership of projects and managing competing priorities.
