Financial Accountant | West Leeds | £50,000 to £55,000

Hybrid, 3 days in the office

I'm recruiting a Financial Accountant for a large business in West Leeds. It's a big, well-run finance function with clear timetables and plenty of exposure to senior people across the business.

The team owns monthly and quarterly reporting into the wider group and the balance sheet work behind it. A good move for someone newly qualified who wants to stay technical and build a career in a large corporate.

The role

• Monthly and quarterly results delivered to group timetables and accounting policy
• Financial information for external and internal reporting submissions
• Month end balance sheet and working capital analysis
• Balance sheet governance, reviewing reconciliations and resolving issues early
• Process improvement and automation, and involvement in group projects

The person

• Qualified ACA, ACCA or CIMA, newly qualified welcome
• Experience of a large or complex organisation, in industry or audit
• IFRS knowledge
• Strong Excel
• Comfortable leading meetings with senior stakeholders and explaining the numbers clearly
• Organised and calm under deadline pressure

• Permanent
• Hybrid, 3 days in the office

This is a reporting and balance sheet role in a large finance team. If you want to run the whole finance function of a small business, this probably won't be the right one.
