Interim Finance Manager - #2186175

I'm currently partnering with a large international business to recruit a Finance Manager on a 12-month fixed-term contract covering maternity leave.

This is a broad and highly visible role, combining financial reporting, team leadership, process improvement and systems development. Reporting into senior finance leadership, you'll lead a small team while driving improvements across reporting processes and helping maximise the value of finance systems implementation.

This opportunity would suit a qualified accountant with strong reporting experience, previous team management exposure, and the ability to balance day-to-day delivery with continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the delivery and review of group reporting outputs, ensuring accuracy, timeliness and consistency.
• Act as the primary finance contact for key external stakeholder reporting requirements.
• Produce insightful analysis on monthly and quarterly performance, identifying trends and key business drivers.
• Manage and develop a team comprising Senior Accountants and Assistant Accountants, providing support, guidance and review.
• Support the ongoing development and optimisation of a newly implemented reporting system, helping to embed best practice across the finance function.
• Identify opportunities to improve reporting processes, increase automation and reduce manual intervention.
• Evaluate activities that could be transitioned into a shared service environment to improve efficiency and controls.
• Work closely with finance and operational teams to enhance reporting capabilities and deliver process improvements.
• Explore opportunities to leverage technology and AI to improve reporting quality, insight and productivity.

About You

• ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified.
• Strong financial reporting and analysis experience within a complex organisation.
• Previous experience managing or mentoring finance teams.
• Systems-savvy, with experience improving financial processes and reporting tools.
• Comfortable working with senior stakeholders and explaining financial performance clearly.
• Commercially minded, proactive and keen to drive continuous improvement.
• Experience within multi-entity or group environments would be advantageous.
