Procurement Manager - #2186674

Edwards and Pearce are working with a large food manufacturing business to recruit an experienced Procurement Manager with a background in ingredients and packaging. The role will manage a mix of category areas through the full procurement cycle.

Role:
You will be responsible for identifying and delivering cost savings, managing supplier performance, and developing category strategy. You will manage the commercial side of New Product Development (NPD), and lead sourcing initiatives, supplier negotiations, ensuring optimised commercial terms with suppliers. You will be involved in category consolidation and harmonisation projects across your categories.

You will also manage the relationships internally with production and planning teams, and externally with suppliers, tracking and managing their performance and taking a key role in the escalation of expedited product.
Requirements:
* Procurement experience in food or packaging categories
* Strong negotiation and a cost saving rack record
* Strong interpersonal and influencing skills.
* Strong commercial acumen.
* Motivated, with a passion for food.

This role is based hybrid in Leeds on a 6 Month Fixed Term Contract basis
