- Engineering: Git, code review, CI/CD, automated testing, Architecture Decision Records
- Prototyping: (url removed) prototype kit, rapid throwaway and evolutionary prototypes

WHAT YOU WILL DO

- Prototype end-to-end document flows using FHIR, from hospital to primary care
- Produce candidate target architectures and record decisions in ADRs
- Set up modern engineering practices and work in the open
- Apply secure-by-design principles and contribute to DPIAs, threat models and clinical safety work
- Act as senior technical voice in a multidisciplinary team and mentor developers

ESSENTIAL
- Tech Lead or Lead Developer experience on public sector or regulated services
- Strong hands-on development in Python, Java, C# or TypeScript
- Significant systems integration experience (APIs, asynchronous messaging)
- Practical AWS, CI/CD and automated testing experience
- Rapid prototyping in Discovery or Alpha phases
- Delivery against the GDS Service Standard or equivalent
- Able to work onsite in central Leeds 4 to 5 days per week

DESIRABLE
- Integration with national healthcare messaging or data-sharing services
- FHIR, HL7v2 and SNOMED CT
- Primary care clinical systems or hospital integration engines
- Healthcare data security and clinical safety standards

Shortlisting is under way now. Apply with an up-to-date CV highlighting your integration and FHIR experience, and confirm you can work onsite in central Leeds 4 to 5 days per week. Email
