Site Manager – New Build Housing

Salary: Up to £60,000 per annum DOE

The Opportunity

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Site Manager to join an established housebuilding contractor on a permanent basis, overseeing operations on a new-build residential development in Leeds.

This is an excellent opportunity for a driven and hands-on Site Manager with a strong background in residential construction, who can take ownership of site operations, manage subcontractors and ensure projects are delivered safely, on programme and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Overseeing the day-to-day management of a new-build residential development.

• Coordinating and managing subcontractors and site trades to ensure programme targets are achieved.

• Monitoring build progress and ensuring works are completed in line with agreed timescales.

• Maintaining high standards of workmanship and quality throughout the build process.

• Managing site health and safety, ensuring full compliance with relevant regulations.

• Carrying out regular site inspections and quality control checks.

• Managing snagging, defect resolution and plot completions.

• Ensuring site records, reports and documentation are accurately maintained.

• Working closely with the wider construction team to ensure the successful delivery of the development.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Site Manager within the new-build housebuilding sector.

• Strong understanding of residential construction methods, build programmes and plot progression.

• Valid SMSTS qualification.

• Valid CSCS card.

• First Aid qualification.

• Excellent subcontractor management and leadership skills.

• Strong organisational skills with the ability to drive programme and quality.

• A proactive, hands-on approach to site management.
