  • Support laboratory method development, validation, qualification and transfer activities.
  • Manage laboratory investigations, non-conformances and associated corrective actions.
  • Analyse and trend laboratory data to identify risks, improve processes and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Coordinate equipment calibration, maintenance and qualification activities.
  • Support validation activities, including OQ/PQ, technical documentation, protocols and reports.
  • Work closely with the Laboratory Manager and wider operational teams to ensure testing priorities and business objectives are achieved.
  • Maintain effective communication and handovers between AM and PM laboratory teams.

To be successful, you will ideally have:

  • A degree in Chemistry, Biology, Microbiology, Biochemistry, Biomedical Science or a related scientific discipline.
  • A minimum of 5 years' experience within a Quality or Laboratory function in the medical device, pharmaceutical or similarly regulated industry.
  • At least 3 years' experience in a team leadership or supervisory position.
  • Strong working knowledge of cGMP, ISO 13485 and/or 21 CFR 820 requirements.
  • Hands-on experience within analytical chemistry and/or microbiology laboratory environments.
  • Experience with laboratory investigations, validation activities, quality systems and risk management.
  • Excellent people management, coaching and communication skills.
  • The ability to interpret complex laboratory data, identify trends and implement practical improvements.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
