Salary: £40,000 - £45,000 + Benefits
Location: Leeds, permanent, hybrid

Robert Half Accountancy & Finance is recruiting for an Accounts Receivable Manager to oversee the sales ledger and credit control function within a successful and growing manufacturing business based in East Leeds. Ensuring the timely collection of customer payments, maintaining strong customer relationships, and driving improvements in cash flow performance. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious Accounts Receivable Manager or Credit Control Manager looking to make a tangible impact within a collaborative and forward thinking finance team.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the Accounts Receivable and Credit Control team
• Manage and ensure workloads are effectively prioritised and delivered
• Drive cash collection performance and reduce aged debt
• Monitor debtor balances, overdue accounts and collection KPI's
• Oversee customer invoicing, cash allocation and account reconciliations.
• Build strong relationships with customers and internal stakeholders to resolve issues efficiently
• Produce regular reporting and analysis for senior management
• Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency, strengthen controls and enhance the customer experience
• Explore opportunities to utilise automation and AI-driven solutions to streamline workflows
• Support wider finance transformation and continuous improvement initiatives

About You

• Previous experience within an Accounts Receivable Manager, Credit Control Manager or similar leadership role.
• Strong knowledge of sales ledger, credit control and cash collection processes.
• Experience leading or mentoring finance teams
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Comfortable working with finance systems and Excel.
• A proactive approach with a focus on continuous improvement and operational efficiency.
