Working closely with colleagues across the Freight team, you will play an important role in coordinating sea import shipments, ensuring documentation is accurate, customs requirements are met and deliveries are arranged efficiently. You will also act as a point of contact for customers, handling quotations, bookings and general enquiries while delivering a consistently high level of service.

You will be part of a friendly and supportive team, the client

Key Responsibilities

  • Processing and coordinating sea freight import shipments.

  • Checking and processing commercial documentation, including Bills of Lading.
  • Liaising with customers regarding quotations, bookings and general enquiries.
  • Working closely with internal teams to ensure shipments progress smoothly and deadlines are met.
  • Supporting the wider Freight team with day-to-day administration and operational requirements.

About You

We are looking for someone who is organised, conscientious and enjoys working as part of a team. You will be comfortable managing a varied workload, responding to changing priorities and taking a proactive approach to customer service.

Ideally, you will have:

  • Previous experience in an import, freight or shipping administration role.
  • An understanding of customs procedures, freight calculations and import documentation.
  • Good IT skills, particularly Microsoft Office.
  • Strong literacy and numeracy skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational abilities.
  • A flexible approach to work, including the ability to accommodate changing demands and shift patterns.
  • A positive, reliable and team-focused attitude.
  • Confident communication skills and a commitment to delivering excellent customer service.

If you have a background in freight or imports and are looking for your next opportunity, we would love to hear from you.
