About the Opportunity

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Delegated Claims Technician to join a growing team within an established insurance business.

This role offers something a little different from traditional claims handling. Rather than managing individual claims, you'll focus on the oversight and performance of external claims providers, helping ensure they deliver an effective service and meet the required standards.

Working closely with experienced colleagues, you'll gain exposure to the wider claims function, develop your analytical skills and build relationships with a range of internal and external stakeholders. As the team continues to expand its activities, this is a great opportunity to become involved in a varied role where you can make a real contribution.

What You'll Be Doing

• Reviewing and analysing claims data from external providers, identifying trends, performance issues and areas for improvement.
• Using Excel to manipulate data, produce reports and provide meaningful insight into claims performance.
• Supporting the ongoing management of relationships with third-party claims providers and solicitors.
• Helping coordinate regular performance review meetings, engaging with external contacts and senior stakeholders.
• Assisting with the review, renewal and administration of third-party claims arrangements.
• Maintaining accurate records, monitoring activity and ensuring relevant information is kept up to date.
• Investigating queries and working collaboratively with colleagues across the wider business.
• Taking ownership of a variety of tasks and helping improve processes as the function continues to develop.

What We're Looking For

• Previous experience within insurance claims is desired, with exposure to commercial claims particularly advantageous.
• Confident working with data, with strong numerical and analytical abilities.
• Intermediate to advanced Excel skills, including formulas and PivotTables.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to identify inconsistencies or potential issues.
• Excellent communication skills, with the confidence to build relationships and engage with different stakeholders.
• Well organised and adaptable, able to manage competing priorities and take ownership of your workload.
• A proactive approach, with the initiative to question existing processes and identify opportunities to improve.
• A genuine interest in developing your insurance knowledge and technical expertise.
