The Company

Our client is a well established and growing business based in Leeds, looking to appoint a commercially minded Management Accountant to join their finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified accountant who enjoys producing high quality financial insight, partnering with stakeholders, and supporting strategic decision making.

The Role

Reporting to senior finance leadership, the Management Accountant will play a key role in delivering accurate financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis to support business performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly management accounts with supporting commentary and analysis
• Lead on balance sheet reconciliations and ensure accuracy across the ledger
• Support budgeting and forecasting processes
• Provide variance analysis and actionable financial insight to key stakeholders
• Assist with year-end audit preparation and statutory reporting
• Partner with operational and departmental leaders to improve financial understanding and control
• Monitor costs, margins, and performance against budget
• Identify opportunities to improve processes and reporting efficiency
• Support cash flow forecasting and wider financial planning activities
• Ensure compliance with internal controls and financial policies

About You

• Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA)
• Previous experience in a management accounting or similar finance role
• Strong month end and reporting experience
• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail
• Confident communicator with the ability to business partner across departments
