Our client is a globally recognised British manufacturer of jukeboxes.

Their products are ‘simply the best in the world’ and each jukebox is an entirely unique, hand-built labour of love.

They are looking for a Trade Counter Assistant to join the team at their site in Leeds.

If you have experience working in a trade counter environment and understand the requirements of both trade and domestic / retail customers, they want to hear from you.

About the Role

Your primary responsibility will be to serve customers over the counter, over the telephone and email. In particular you will need to assist customers with identifying parts required as necessary and, working as part of the customer services department, ensure that Trade Counter sales are dealt with promptly and efficiently

Key Duties will include:

  • Answer incoming phone calls, answering email enquiries and orders, deal with customers face to face over the trade counter

  • Convert initial contacts to sales

  • Produce quotes and send them out

  • Chase warm leads, and follow up on opportunities

  • Provide support and aftersales

  • Deal with daily administrative tasks

  • Serve customers over the trade counter.

  • Ensure orders for customers are prepared and processed promptly and accurately.

  • Respond to enquiries as necessary.

  • Picking and packing customer orders and arranging collection with our carriers

  • Ensure complaints and issues raised by customers are quickly resolved.

  • Liaise with couriers regarding customers’ orders.

  • Book goods in returned from customers and issue to associated departments.

  • Work closely with other departments to ensure customer order requirements are fulfilled.

About You

As with all growing businesses the culture is entrepreneurial and fast paced. You will be strong in operations, hungry for sales, determined to succeed, self-managed and self-motivated.

You will be expected to build great product knowledge and demonstrate the ability to build relationships with their customers and other members of staff.

You must be IT literate and able to pick up systems quickly and enter data accurately. Experience in using Business Central would be advantageous but not essential.

You will have the opportunity to grow within this role along with the business, which may include developing your own team and driving change.

Needless to say, excellent customer service skills are essential. The client is looking for people who are reliable, methodical and diligent. The department can get very busy so the ability to work effectively when under pressure is essential.
