We are seeking a supportive and enthusiastic individual to assist a young person in engaging with the community and participating in activities of interest. The role involves helping the young person develop life skills such as using public transport and shopping for food.
About the employer: No gender preference. The ideal candidate will support the young person in enjoying outings and activities, including playing football or other preferred activities, with the young person's involvement in planning.
Candidate requirements: Enthusiastic, calm, and understanding of additional needs. Previous experience working with individuals with additional needs is preferred. A driving license is not required as public transport is accessible.
The young person has autism and a learning disability but is mobile and does not require support with personal care.
Schedule: Support is mainly required on Saturdays, with potential for other days. During school holidays, support increases by 4 hours, totaling 10 hours per week for 13 weeks, and 6 hours during term time.
