Location:          Leeds, LS15 8GB (with hybrid working after completion of training)

Working hours:          37.5 hours p/w (Monday – Friday 08:30 – 17:00)

The Supply Chain Analyst role is a key role within the Commercial team, looking after our new Pet business. Responsible for buying and purchasing administration including, but not limited to adding NPD, promotional nominations, price changes & working with manufacturers and wholesalers for ad hoc queries. The successful candidate will be organised, articulate and confident, with a proven track record in an administrative role.

What you’ll be doing?


·        Daily ordering of products with manufacturers and wholesalers


·        Proactively follow up on purchase orders with Suppliers/Manufacturers


·        Playing a key role in the stock management of the promotional phases


·        Ensuring ad hoc prices are changed on the system correctly as instructed by the Buyer


·        Aiding with the new line process, ensuring the warehouse is prepared for NPD


·        Liaising with suppliers and managing ad hoc tasks e.g. barcode changes, product code changes


·        Working with suppliers on out of stocks, potential delays, back orders etc 


·        Producing ad hoc reports and gathering information as instructed by the Buyer


·        Prioritising and managing workload and to do list, managing expectations cross functionally


·        Work with wholesalers and manufacturers to understand availability issues, likely restock dates and duration of supply issues


·        Work with clinical and customer service to assess and suggest alternative to out of stock medicines


·        Working closely with Buying team on processes for order fulfilment


Who are we looking for?


·        Extensive experience in a commercial buying or supply chain role, either in retail or in the supplier base


·        Educated to degree level or equivalent


·        Numerate and IT literate (used It systems and is quick to learn)


·        Ability to use MS Office suite including Excel at intermediate level


·        Proven experience of working with complex data and systems to improve the end-to-end supply chain process across multiple systems


·        Proven experience of analysing data to generate reports and provide insight to drive informed decision making


·        Proven experience of planning and implementing supply optimisation projects


·        Experience of working in a pressured environment, delivering against tight deadlines


·        Experience in FMCG preferred
